Membership Term & Cancellation Policy
For all 1-yr Commit memberships:
I acknowledge, understand and agree that: (i) I have reviewed and will comply with the rules and regulations of the Manhattan Chamber of Commerce (“MCC”) regarding membership and am aware of the disclaimers of liability stated on the MCC web site; (ii) subject to the cancellation rights described below, my membership will be for a minimum term of 12 months; (iii) I may cancel my membership 30 days prior to the first anniversary of the contract start date; and (iv) If I do not cancel my membership prior to the first anniversary of the contract start date, my membership will continue month to month until I cancel it by (1) giving the MCC 30 days written notice addressed to: Manhattan Chamber of Commerce, 1375 Broadway, NY, NY 10018 and (2) giving full payment of any unpaid dues or indebtedness.
Consumer's Rights to Cancel
Subject to the following cancellation rights provided under Article 30 of the New York General Business Law, this application shall become a binding agreement when signed by me and accepted by the MCC.
CONSUMER's RIGHT TO CANCELLATION: YOU MAY CANCEL THIS CONTRACT WITHOUT ANY PENALTY OR FURTHER OBLIGATION WITHIN THREE (3) DAYS FROM THE DATE ON WHICH YOUR APPLICATION WAS SUBMITTED by giving written notification to: Manhattan Chamber of Commerce, 1375 Broadway, NY, NY 10018 by certified or registered mail.
ADDITIONAL RIGHTS TO CANCELLATION: You may also cancel this contract for any of the following reasons:
- You relocate your business out of New York State
- If you die, your estate shall be relieved of any further obligations for payment under this contract not then due and owing.
- If the services cease to be offered as stated in this contract.
If you cancel this agreement before your commitment period expires for reasons other than stated above, you will be charged the balance of your membership dues through the end of the term.
